UK Wealth Manager Opens Doors In Barbados

is opening an office in Barbados to extend its services to Caribbean clients and their advisors.

London & Capital, which was founded in 1986, said the last decade has seen a significant jump in client demand for services in the Caribbean. The company's institutional division now manages over $1 billion in assets for captive insurers, based primarily in Barbados, Cayman and Bermuda.

The new office, which will be fully operational by the end of 2015, will be overseen by Lisl Lewis, who has been appointed as executive director for the Caribbean. Lewis most recently headed up her own consulting business in Barbados, which included corporate directorships for captive insurers, international businesses and private banks. She previously held roles at Ernst & Young in London, Royal Bank of Canada, CXE International Bank, and Southwold Bank & Trust in Barbados.

“This news follows the launch of our Compass offering earlier this year, which was developed to address the investment challenges faced by captives in Europe,” said William Dalziel, partner and head of London & Capital's institutional division. “Lisl’s appointment will help ensure that we maintain and enhance our high standards of service in the Caribbean while we continue to grow in Europe.”

As of the end of June, the London-headquartered company, which also has an office in Hong Kong, had $3.6 billion of assets under management.
